Hand washing, A first step to be Healthy
Most of the common infections we get through the
unhygienic hand wash procedure. When our
hand, frequently comes in contact with the eyes, nose, lips and more of the
contact with public places, there it begins with the infections and diseases. A
proper hand wash is the best way to prevent from the spread of germs.
Steps of Hand Washing:
Most of the time we tend to just wet our hand with
water and then wipe it up that is not going to prevent from the germs actions.
Here are some steps of hand washing;
- Wet your hand with normal tab water or warm water (if available).
- Add soap and rub hands together to make a soapy lather. Scrub palms, fingers, back of hands and under fingernails. Continue for 20 seconds.
- Rinse your hand well under water. Dry your hands with clean towel or with clean paper towel and turn the taps off with the paper towel.
When to hand wash???
- After touching anything that could contaminate your hands, like dirty clothes, garbage, at public places holding bars, after handshake.
- After coughing or sneezing into your hands or into your handkerchief.
- After touching hairs and face (especially nose when you have cold or allergies)
- After handling pets.
- After going to the bathroom.
- After cleaning spills.
- Before preparing and serving food,
- Before and after eating.
Why cleaning and sanitizing is important!
Cleaning removes the grease, dirt and food particles
from a surface, also harmful germ which can spread infections but cleaning does
not kill them. Sanitizing is done after cleaning. Soap, Sanitizers
or Natural disinfectants will destroy most of the harmful germs.
Natural disinfectants:
Presently we are more surrounded by the communicable
diseases and we are more using the chemically prepared sanitizers, which itself
can be the cause of the eyes irritation or can cause skin allergy as well. Also
some of the compounds inside the sanitizers are flammable. Where Nature is the
source of the all the ingredient which can be used as the powerful natural
sanitizers.
Vinegar:
Vinegar can be used to effectively remove
most bacteria and germs. That’s as vinegar is a weak form of acetic acid, the
pH of which is too strong for most germs to survive. It is non toxic and
can be used as hand sanitizer and also can be used as all around the home as an
all purpose cleaner. (The smell of the vinegar dissolves after it is dried)
Neem oil or Neem water:
Neem water can be used as safe effective cleaners
for hand wash. This natural product will keep you clean without leaving behind
a chemical residue.
Salt and water:
Salt and water or prepared salty water can
effectively be used for the hand wash. It also helps to clean the oily, sticky
base substances very easily.
Nature has all the ingredients to keep you safe and healthy;
as we just need to follow it with lots of Faith. So let us start practicing
Natural Cleaning and Sanitizing ways to keep us Healthy and Nourished.
